58km of rugged, rocky and remote terrain – can our bike rack and carrier system really handle the adventure? Electric mountain biker and adventure-seeker Christopher (Toffer) decided to find out for himself.
On the island of Cres off Croatia’s mainland – Toffer set off on his Merida eMTB for a day of back-country riding – complete with technical climbs, narrow rocky trails, spectacular coastal views, scorching summer temperatures, and dusty descents.

- Total distance: 58km
- Elevation: 1388m
This wasn't just a ride, it was a gear testing mission.

A closer look at Toffer's eMTB setup.
With temperatures set to reach 38°C Toffer opted for our bike rack and carrier system to carry plenty of water + a few tools, rather than loading up a heavy backpack. Toffer is using our Spider Rear Rack, with a Spider Rack Cradle down each side, to carry two orange 8L Heavy Duty Dry Bags. This setup allows for full use of suspension and dropper post – important for navigating the steep and rugged terrain.

"This is real-world testing at its best. It’s not just a quick ride through the woods with the gear mounted. This is proper, extreme terrain. What I’m riding here is basically Croatian flow trail with a loose, rocky surface — and so far, everything’s holding up. The aeroe gear? Definitely doing the job.” – Toffer
