Spider Rear Rack

The Rack is the base layer of the aeroe system and includes one Cradle to carry your drybag or tent, which can be mounted on the top or sides of the rack. Secure easily with built-in straps - no fit-kits or fiddly axle mountings required. Customise your ride with additional Cradles (up to three), or any other aeroe adventure or commute accessories.

Load capacity: 16kgs (35 lbs). Refer to Cradle and Pod for individual weights. Carbon 8kgs. All ISO11243 tested and certified.

Materials: High grade stainless steel, Powder coated aluminium, glass reinforced nylon and silicone coated straps.

Size guide

Fits up to 3.8 inches tyre width (most bikes apart from FAT bikes). Refer to our Spider FAT Rack for tyre width above 3.8 inches (fits FAT bikes up to 5 inches).

"Took two Spider rack with two cradles, one on each side with a 12L bag, for a 150 km ride with 85 km on dirt, varying from smooth dirt to rough gravel and corrugations. Everything stayed firmly in place the whole time. Hardly knew packs were there when riding flatter roads. Bags tie down better when packed tightly. . . so fill them well or roll the tops down a lot. Lots of room in the bags. Easy enough to install with linked video and a bit of pausing. Might get a third Spider to put on the top for a tent!"

Ready to give it the test

"I have installed the unit,with 2 cradles, for a race across Florida, the Sea to Sea 72 hour adventure race. This will be our second year participating in this race and the addition of the racks was to transfer weight on the long bike legs from our backs to my bike. Fingers crossed, we will see how it fairs for 300 miles. Only issue so far is the loss of paint when relocating the cradles. I changed positions a time or two and the powder coat peels off the rack when doing so. I put a spot of spray paint on it to protect the metal, just thought you might want to know. Love the product so far. I’ve got pictures of the peel,if interested. Thanks"

"First 4 day trip—rack w two black torpedos , one on each side, solid and immobile. Aeroe has done a great job with their design. Top of rack works as a handle to move the weighted rear end around when parking against a tree! Now to fine tune my gear to fit more seamlessly into the dry bag torpedos."
